Primrose Cottage’s Hanging Baskets

It is believed that hanging baskets, full of beautiful flowers, are not a new idea. For more than 3,000 years baskets have been planted flowing with greenery and colourful flowers. We recall the ancient Gardens of Babylon, where hanging baskets featured, believing that these have provided inspiration for our baskets today.

Here at Love’s Independent Funeral Directors, we feel privileged to be located in the stunning Primrose Cottage – ‘our jewel in the crown’. The thatched roof and pretty building, known by many locals, is an icon in Stafford town centre. Hanging baskets have also featured as a prominent part of Primrose Cottage’s history.

Stuart, Director at Love’s, enjoys planting baskets at his home and this year decided to try his hand at planting baskets to decorate Primrose Cottage. The colourful petunias, fuchias and flowing greenery are bringing smiles to those passing by, and with our thatched roof and hanging baskets are reminiscent of old-world charm. The 6 matching baskets have been talked about, photographed, and admired as they continue to bloom in our recent glorious weather.
